My name is Laila Majeed and my mission is to provide natural and organic skincare products for individuals with dermatological skin conditions. Having personally experienced the challenges of acne and eczema, I understand how skin conditions can impact one's confidence and well-being.
When I relocated to the UK eight years ago, my eczema worsened, causing severe swelling around my eyes and affecting my eyesight. Despite being prescribed various medications and using different creams, my skin condition only worsened. In fact, the medication exacerbated my acne, which further complicated my skincare regimen.
After trying various skincare products and oral medication, I realized that the solution was not in these products but in natural and organic ingredients. I decided to create a community where individuals with skin conditions could share their experiences and provide feedback on products that could help them.
Since May 2021, I have been working tirelessly with TERN's pre-incubator and incubator programs to develop a business plan, financial plan, brand, and website to start building my community. I have met with numerous advisors and chemists to explore manufacturing the right product for people with dermatological skin conditions.
Today, I am proud to announce that our first product is available on our website. Our first product is a natural and organic sunscreen. As someone who has suffered from skin conditions for years, I understand how important it is to protect your skin from harmful UV rays, especially if you have a skin condition.
Sunscreen is not only crucial for preventing skin damage and premature aging but also for reducing the risk of skin cancer. Our sunscreen is formulated with natural and organic ingredients that are gentle on the skin and do not cause irritation or allergic reactions.
